COMMAND VEHICLE - "2590"
A 2007 GMC Yukon, purchased from Johnsburg EMS in Warren County. This "Command Vehicle" serves the agency and the community by providing a command center or center of operations for the Captain when tending to an MCI, large-scale incident, MVA, structure fire, events, etc. As well, this allows the Captain to respond to a 911 call where assistance may be needed and allowing an initial response to a second 911 call if the ambulance is already tending to a call. "2590" is the NBAS Captain's identifier, which is why this vehicle bears this number. It is equipped with first response/emergency medical equipment at the BLS level to initiate care while awaiting another ambulance, in addition to traffic control equipment.
